Here's how the tax data collector works:

• You will be provided with a username and a password specifically assigned to you. Your password is your key to your tax file, and as such, it should remain completely confidential.
• Effective February 1, 2010, you can access this new and exciting technology through our Web site at universetax.ca
• Once at our Web site, click the link to the tax data collector. You will be taken to a secure site where you will enter the username and password known only to you and your tax professional.
• The easy-to-use interview will walk you through all the screens needed to enter the information from each of your tax slips and other relevant documents. You may return to the site as many times as you like. When you have finished, you will indicate it by clicking the icon provided to that end.
